Susan
Laudwig - Founder of GNO
Susan Laudwig founded Girls Night Out in
2008. The idea was launched when one of
her friends mentioned that there was nothing for women
to do on their girls night out. As the
owner of a local marketing firm, Grow Marketing,
Susan was already working on a Sex and the City
Movie marketing idea for one of her business
clients. With the help of her girlfriends'
insights, Girls Night Out was founded.
The scholarship idea was a natural choice as
Susan feels passionately about the statement,
'teach someone how to fish, instead of giving
them fish.' She felt it was important to
give women an opportunity to get an education to
help them better their lives so they can turn
around and contribute back to society instead of
looking to it for ongoing assistance.
Susan graduated from Oklahoma State
University with a BS in Accounting. Susan
lives at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri with
her husband, Steve and her nine year old
daughter, Ainsley. She resigned as GNO
President due to the sale of her business and
her relocation. Susan currently does freelance marketing and advertising projects for
businesses. Her family will be relocating
to St. Louis this summer.
Della
Croft - GNO President
Della has been a committee member since the
founding of Girls Night Out, Inc. and was
appointed by the Board as President in 2010.
She is committed to GNO's cause because of her
own personal story and her desire to encourage
every woman to believe in themselves and seek
the support and empowerment needed to begin or
advance their professional education at any age.
Della began her undergraduate degree right
out of high school. After completing
several semesters, her home life was not
supportive of a full college load and she took
an alternative path. She resumed her
undergraduate degree at Missouri Southern State
University as a non-traditional student at the
age of 24, and as a single mom and full time
employed paralegal. By doubling up credit
hours, she fast tracked her education to jump
right into her dream career. She graduated
with a BS in Communications and advanced to a
Graduate degree at Missouri Southern State
University in Applied Communications.
Della's career has focused on sales and
marketing, and she is currently Vice President
of Sales and Marketing for the Consumer Products
Group at Leggett & Platt, Inc. in Carthage,
Missouri.
Della is married to Brian Croft, youth
baseball coach and owner of Joplimo Mattress.
She has one son who keeps her schedule full of
football and baseball games and the often witty
jokes he likes to tell. They reside in
Carthage, Missouri.

Stephanie
Busse - GNO Secretary
Stephenie is a new to our committee but is very
excited to be a part of GNO. She believes an
education is very important and having the
emotional as well as financial support can be
detrimental factors to achieving an education.
Stephenie like others straight out of high
school; started college ready to take on the
world! After several semesters she still
couldn’t answer that common freshman
question…what is your major? She decided to take
a break from college to find herself and jump
into the work world to see what was exactly out
there. After experiencing how important an
education can be she resumed her undergraduate
degree at 23. Working full time and going to
school full time made her into the dedicated and
ambitious person she is today. She graduated
with a B.A. in Communications in 2006. Stephenie
is currently employed at Orthopedic Specialists
of the Four States in Galena, KS and resides in
Joplin, MO.
